Англіцизми в іспанських періодичних виданнях: структурні особливості та функції

The qualification work is dedicated to the study of anglicisms in Spanish periodicals, particularly their structural characteristics and functions. The relevance of the topic is driven by globalisation and the spread of English as the language of international communication, which significantly influences the Spanish language and its speakers.
The aim of this work is to identify the main structural features of the formation of Spanish equivalents and their pragmatic functions. To achieve this goal, the following tasks were set: analysis of theoretical approaches to the categorization of anglicisms, identification of the types of borrowings used in Spanish periodicals, analysis of the frequency of use of different types of anglicisms and their Spanish equivalents, investigation of the structural features of anglicisms, and determination of their functions.
The object of the research is anglicisms in Spanish periodicals, and the subject is their structural characteristics and functions in these publications. To achieve the set tasks, linguistic analysis methods were used, including text analysis, classification of anglicisms based on structural characteristics, and study of their functions in specific contexts, as well as statistical methods for counting the frequency of anglicisms in the press.
The scientific novelty of the work lies in the analysis of the frequency of use of different anglicisms and the study of their structural and pragmatic features, which allows for a better understanding of the processes of linguistic interaction between English and Spanish. The practical significance of the obtained results lies in the possibility of using them to improve the process of studying anglicisms in Spanish texts and for developing recommendations for their use in language practice.
Our personal contribution includes the analysis of various approaches to the categorization of anglicisms, the study of the frequency of use of English borrowings and their Spanish equivalents, as well as the systematisation of the obtained results. The

sample of examples is based on data from Spanish periodicals “El País,” “La Vanguardia,” and “El Mundo.” The research results have been tested at scientific conferences.
