Synthesis of 1-trifluoromethyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroisoquinoline derivatives using trimethyl(trifluoromethyl)silane

The thesis is devoted to the development of a method for the synthesis of 1-trifluoromethyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroisoquinolines using the reaction oftrimethyl(trifluoromethyl)silane with 3,4-dihydroisoquinolines. A number of new3,4-dihydroisoquinolines were synthesized by the Bischler-Napiralsky reactionmodified by Larsen. The conditions for attaching the trifluoromethyl group to themwere found and optimized, which made it possible to scale up the synthesis. Thelimits of application of the procedure for obtaining halogen-substituted 1-trifluoromethyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroisoquinolines were also expanded. In addition, itwas shown that when introducing substituents into the first position of 3,4-dihydroisoquinoline, the addition reaction also occurs with good yields. Allcompounds were obtained with preparative yields (35 - 94%).
