This paper addresses the development of a method for managing time loss risks in IT projects based on modeling the team's dynamic cognitive profile. It introduces and formalizes the concepts of cognitive viscosity and cognitive debt to quantitatively measure productivity losses caused by frequent workplace distractions and context switching in Agile environments. The study analyzes the cascade effects where individual context recovery delays propagate across project dependency graphs, multiplying schedule risks and increasing technical debt. A mathematical core is proposed to transform cognitive losses into leading risk indicators, enabling automated protective measures such as cognitive quarantine. Ultimately, this approach transitions risk management from reactive tracking to preventive decision-making, mitigating developer burnout and safeguarding project timelines.
