Мовні засоби творення комічного під час російсько-української війни (на матеріалі неологізмів та цитат у соціальних мережах)

The qualification work is devoted to the study of linguistic means of creating comedy in the context of the Russian-Ukrainian war. The relevance of the topic is due to the fact that linguistic innovations, in particular neologisms and quotations, reflect the new realities of wartime. The paper analyses the theoretical foundations of neologisms and means of humour, determines the nature of occasional lexemes. Such forms of comedy as irony, satire and sarcasm are considered, as well as language play as a way to create a comic effect. Particular attention is paid to the study of specific linguistic means of creating the comic on the basis of 94 neologisms and quotes collected in social networks from 24.02.2022 to 15.04.2024 during the Russian-Ukrainian war.
The analysis of neologisms formed by various methods (suffixation, compounding, abbreviation, etc.) has shown that they often acquire a comic colouring and are used to ridicule the enemy, criticise the authorities or express national identity. The study of quotes has shown that their reinterpretation, change of meaning and diverse use in communication situations during the war play an important role in shaping public opinion and supporting Ukrainian positions. For example, the quotes «banderivske smoozi», «boyovi husi», as well as those used to ironically ridicule the amorphous and absurd positions of the Russian side like «ne vsio tak odnoznachno» and «ekhal na ucheniia».
The paper also examines the social and political functions of humour, its spread through various media platforms and its impact on public consciousness. It is noted that humour helps to relieve tension, strengthen national unity and maintain the morale of Ukrainians in difficult war conditions.
