Analyzing the verbal, prosodic, and nonverbal means of emotional expression that can be observed, female winners are highly nervous, while male actors remain calmer and make more effort to control their emotions. Therefore, they show their emotions to a greater extent with the help of non-verbal means, after which it is important to control non-verbal manifestations.
Thus, the perspective of the study of emotions in the speeches of the "Oscar|" ceremony there can be an analysis of speeches in a diachronic aspect, that is, you can focus on changes in the means of expressing emotions from the very beginning of the existence of the "Oscar" award to the present day.
The object of our linguistic research is Oscar acceptance speeches of the winners of 2000-2020 in such categories as Best Actor in a Leading role and Best Actress in a Leading role.
The subject of study is verbal, prosodic and non-verbal means of expressing emotions during Oscar acceptance speeches.
