This research aims to implementation green chemistry principles in the design, synthesis, and application of luminescent materials based on ZnO nanoparticles, with a focus on sustainability and reduced environmental impact.  The synthesis of ZnO nanoparticles follows environmentally benign routes, utilizing non-toxic precursors and minimizing waste generation. Green solvents and mild reaction conditions are employed to enhance the sustainability of the process. The luminescent properties are tailored by controlling the size and morphology of ZnO nanoparticles through green synthesis techniques. The green-synthesized ZnO nanoparticles in polymer media exhibit intensive luminescent in the visible range. Possible electronic transitions those are responsible for origin of this emission are discussed. The materials show promise in applications such as light-emitting diodes (LEDs), biological imaging, and environmental sensing. The use of green chemistry principles not only ensures the eco-friendliness of the synthesis but also contributes to the overall efficiency and performance of the luminescent materials.
