The emphasis is on Polya's algorithm as a universal means of structuring the process of solving problems and developing students' logical thinking. The advantages of a step-by-step approach to learning are considered, which include understanding the condition of the problem, drawing up a plan, implementing and analyzing the result obtained. Special attention is paid to the study of the emotional state of students during classes in the club using the projective technique "Tree", aimed at studying the level of motivation and adaptation of schoolchildren.Досліджуються особливості застосування алгоритмічного методу Дьордя Поя під час проведення занять математичного гуртка, присвячених вивченню елементів комбінаторики та теорії ймовірностей. Акцент зроблено на алгоритмі Поя як універсальному засобі структурування процесу розв’язування задач та розвитку логічного мислення учнів та учениць. Розглядаються переваги поетапного підходу до навчання, що включає осмислення умови задачі, складання плану, реалізацію та аналіз отриманого результату.
