Rowling. The subject of the study is the realization of neologisms in modern English-language literary texts on the examples of the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. The purpose of the research aims to investigate and shed light on new lexical coinages in the Harry Potter books by J.K. Rowling in linguistic, cultural, and social dimensions. To meet the purpose of the research, we will do the following: 1) Examine the cultural, social, and literary influences on the coinages and their reception by readers; 2) Investigate the linguistic strategies employed by J.K. Rowling to create these new words; The practical significance of this research lies in the fact that literary critics and philology researchers can use the available material in studying the functioning of the modern English language. In particular, the results of this study can be used for further linguistic and stylistic analysis of texts and may also be helpful for translators who, when translating texts from English, face the specific problem of reproducing terms and neologisms into another language. 3) Identify and analyze the types and characteristics of new lexical coinages within the Harry Potter series; 4) Explore the adoption and usage of these new linguistic coinages in real-life modern language by Harry Potter fans and non-fans alike.enHarry PotterJ.K.
