The study presents the peculiarities of the implementation of Law 2662-VIII and its impact on the military chaplaincy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate). It analyzes the factors influencing the implementation of this law, as well as the current situation and related changes since its introduction. M e t h o d s . The state of development of the research topic was determined using methods of analysis and synthesis. Monitoring and modeling methods were used to study the problematic aspects of restricting the military chaplaincy service of representatives of the UOC (MP). R e s u l t s . Factors characterizing the peculiarities of the implementation of the “Law on Renaming the UOC (MP)” in the context of the implementation of the practice of chaplaincy in Ukraine were compared. In particular, the dynamics of the chaplaincy service of representatives of the UOC (MP) in the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the period from 2018 to 2024 were identified. The ratio of the number of positions, availability, and estimated shortage of military chaplains in the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of April 4, 2023, was established. The age and gender structures of confessional and church groups among the total percentage of respondents to the Razumkov Center survey who belong to the UOC (MP) were determined. C o n c l u s i o n s . The Ukrainian government's legislative decision to restrict access to military chaplaincy services can be seen as a negative restriction on the religious freedom of representatives of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate), especially in terms of regulating opportunities to perform military chaplaincy services. However, according to the results of the study, given the potential risks to national security, particularly in a state of martial law, it seems acceptable. The main problem here is the protection of national interests in the context of the risks of potential Russian influence on the activities of the UOC (MP).В с т у п. Представлено особливості впровадження Закону 2662-VIII та його впливу на сферу військового капеланства УПЦ (МП). Проаналізовано чинники, що впливають на реалізацію цього закону, а також актуальну ситуацію та пов'язані із нею зміни від моменту його запровадження. М е т о д и. Методами аналізу і синтезу було визначено стан розробленості теми дослідження. Застосовано методи моніторингу й моделювання для предметного вивчення проблемних аспектів проблематики обмеження служби військового капеланства представників УПЦ (МП). Результати. Зіставлено чинники, що характеризують особливості імплементації закону про перейменування УПЦ (МП) у контексті реалізації в Україні практики капеланської служби. Зокрема, ідентифіковано динаміку капеланської служби представників УПЦ (МП) у ЗСУ у період 2018–2024 рр. Встановлено співвідношення кількості посад, наявності та орієнтовного дефіциту військових капеланів у ЗСУ станом на 04.04.2023 р. Визначено вікову та гендерну структури конфесійно-церковних груп серед респондентів опитування Центру Разумкова, які належать до УПЦ (МП). В и с н о в к и. Визначено, що законодавче рішення української влади про обмеження доступу до служби військового капеланства може розглядатися як негативне за характером обмеження релігійної свободи представників УПЦ (МП) насамперед у контексті регулювання можливостей здійснення військової капеланської служби. Проте згідно з резуль- татами дослідження, зважаючи на потенційні ризики національній безпеці, зокрема в умовах воєнного стану, воно видається прийнятним.
