This integration process is perfectly illustrated by the theory of geo-images that focuses on the cognition of the peculiarities of the real-life objects representation forms obtained by related methods of various sciences. In our opinion, they have the affinity for the use of a single object language of cartography, the epistemological essence of which is proved in map semiotics, by virtue of which it is capable to occupy one of the most important content of the general theory of cartographic science.Тривала історія картографії як науки, виробництва та освіти засвідчує, що її загальна теорія завжди узгоджувалась із найактуальнішими вимогами суспільної практики, які постійно змінювались, роблячи її еволюціонуючою науковою дисципліною, що в наш час розвивається в об'єктивних умовах інтеграції наук з різноманітних галузей знань: від природничих до гуманітарних, методи яких споріднені. Цей процес інтеграції чудово ілюструє теорія геозображень, яка зосереджена на пізнанні особливостей форм відображення простору об'єктів реальної дійсності, одержаних спорідненими методами різних наук.
