Житецького.The article identifies and describes the most important destinations of folk-linguistics activity of one of the founders of Ukrainian linguistics – P. Zhitetsky. Though folk-linguistics (in our understanding it is the study of the verbal language and structure of folklore) is a relatively young science, its foundations were laid in the early 19th century, and in particular by P. Zhitetsky.
