Key stages of development are analyzed: the collective tradition of ancient Greece, individualization during the Renaissance, authorship disputes in the Renaissance and 17th century, the emergence of scientific journals, and contemporary challenges of the 20th and 21st centuries. The article shows how notions of knowledge, responsibility, and recognition have evolved in the scientific community. Major conflicts and ethical issues surrounding the formalization of authorship are discussed, as well as the role of modern mechanisms supporting integrity and transparency in publications. The article aims to convey to readers the importance of scientific ethics and personal responsibility in the creation and dissemination of knowledge.У статті розглядається історія формування уявлень про авторство в математиці – від анонімності давніх цивілізацій до сучасних наукових практик. Аналізуються ключові етапи розвитку: колективна традиція стародавньої Греції, індивідуалізація у Відродженні, суперечки про авторство в епоху Ренесансу та XVII століття, поява наукових журналів і сучасні виклики ХХ–XXI століть. Показано, як змінювалися уявлення про знання, відповідальність і визнання у науковому світі. Обговорюються основні конфлікти та етичні питання, що супроводжували процеси формалізації авторства, а також роль сучасних механізмів підтримки чесності та прозорості в публікаціях.
