During the war, national-patriotic education of youth becomes of primary importance as a strategic factor in ensuring the unity of society and its resilience to external challenges and threats. Ukrainian Studies as an interdisciplinary branch of knowledge becomes an effective tool for the formation of conscious and motivated patriotism of student youth, it integrates knowledge and values, forms national identity, fosters the ability for critical thinking and active civic position of students. In conditions of war, Ukrainian Studies retains its relevance and appears as a strategic educational resource in the process of strengthening the statehood of Ukraine.One of the effective tools for the formation of patriotic consciousness is the scientific and research activities of students, which not only contribute to the development of intellectual potential but also form a profound understanding of national values, historical truth, and personal responsibility to the state. Scientific and research activities form in students the ability to think critically, work with sources, and analyze social processes. This contributes to a more profound understanding of historical events, the current situation of the country, and awareness of one's role in its future. In particular, the XVIII International Ukrainian Studies Contest (2024–2025) demonstrated that student research is becoming a significant factor in the development of national consciousness and patriotic education.The purpose of the article is to analyze the issues and structure of Ukrainian Studies practices as a factor in the formation of patriotic consciousness and active civic position of students in the conditions of the Russian-Ukrainian war.Conclusions. One of the priority tasks of Ukrainian education is to form conscious and motivated patriotism in the face of modern challenges, particularly the full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war. Ukrainian Studies plays an important role in this process as an integrative science that combines historical, cultural, linguistic, ethnological and philosophical knowledge. Its educational potential is realized not only through educational programs, but also through the scientific and research activities of students, in particular participation in all-Ukrainian and international contests. One such platform is the International Ukrainian Studies Contest for students in grades 8–11, which has been organized by the Research Institute of Ukrainian Studies of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine since 2008. The XVIII Contest (March 26–28, 2025, Kyiv) demonstrated the significant interest of students in Ukrainian Studies and demonstrated the potential of Ukrainian Studies in the formation of patriotic consciousness.Актуальність. У період війни національно-патріотичне виховання молоді набуває першочергового значення як стратегічний чинник забезпечення єдності суспільства, його стійкості до зовнішніх викликів і загроз. Українознавство як міждисциплінарна галузь знань виступає дієвим інструментом формування свідомого і мотивованого патріотизму учнівської молоді, воно інтегрує знання та цінності, формує національну ідентичність, виховує здатність до критичного мислення й активної громадянської позиції здобувачів освіти. В умовах війни українознавство не лише зберігає свою актуальність, а й постає як стратегічний освітній ресурс у процесі зміцнення державності України. Одним із ефективних інструментів формування патріотичної свідомості є науково-дослідна діяльність учнів, яка забезпечує розвиток інтелектуального потенціалу і формує глибоке розуміння національних цінностей, історичної правди, особистої відповідальності перед державою. Науково-дослідна діяльність розвиває в учнів уміння мислити критично, працювати з джерелами, аналізувати суспільні процеси. Це сприяє глибшому розумінню історичних подій, сучасного становища країни та усвідомлення своєї ролі в її майбутньому. Зокрема, XVIII Міжнародний конкурс з українознавства (2024–2025) засвідчив, що учнівські дослідження стають вагомим чинником у розвитку національної свідомості та патріотичного виховання. Мета статті полягає в аналізі проблематики й структури українознавчих практик як чинника формування патріотичної свідомості та активної громадянської позиції здобувачів освіти в умовах російсько-української війни. Висновки. Формування свідомого і мотивованого патріотизму в умовах сучасних викликів, зокрема повномасштабної російсько-української війни, є одним із пріоритетних завдань освіти України. Важливу роль у цьому процесі відіграє українознавство як інтегративна наука, що поєднує історичні, культурологічні, мовознавчі, етнологічні та філософські знання. Його освітній потенціал реалізується не лише через навчальні програми, а й через науково-пошукову діяльність учнівської молоді, зокрема участь у всеукраїнських і міжнародних конкурсах. Одним із таких майданчиків став Міжнародний конкурс з українознавства для учнів 8–11 класів, який з 2007 р. організовує Науково-дослідний інститут українознавства. XVIIІ конкурс (26–28 березня 2025 р., м.
