The subject of the study consists of the statements of characters who were depicted or mentioned in a same-sex relationship. In addition, the statements of other characters were taken into account, in the context of talking about queer characters. The study was conducted in accordance with the model of gender performativity and the notion of intersectionality of social identity, so additional social context (for example, childhood traumas that influenced how the characters actualized their sexual orientation) was also taken into account. The object of the study is the linguistic means of narrating queer identities in the discourse of children-oriented animated TV shows.
