The category of the “event” is becoming an increasingly important concept for analyzing the global transformations the world is undergoing today, and literary studies require an analysis tools update necessary for understanding the phenomenon of the “event” in a literary text. The concept of the “literary event” in contemporary literary theory has several interpretations: plural in narratological and semiotic traditions, and singular (both deflationary and radical) in hermeneutic and phenomenological approaches. This study offers a comprehensive examination of the radical singular literary event as an instrument of poetological analysis, including a definition of its main characteristics, the ways it functions within the text, and approaches to its identification. Methods. The methodological foundation of the study is based on a combination of phenomenological and hermeneutic approaches with a semantic model of the fictional world within the framework of possible worlds theory. Results. The article presents, for the first time, a study of the radical singular literary event as a tool for analyzing the poetics of a literary work. The literary event is defined as a non-verbal coordinating center that shapes and determines the elements of a work’s poetics. The system of relationships between the singular event and various aspects of poetics – receptive, technical, structural, and semantic – is also analyzed. The practical application of the identified characteristics of the event and the methods of their use in poetological analysis is demonstrated through an analysis of Vasyl Symonenko’s short story "The Wedding of Opanas Krokva." The choice of this text is justified by the pronounced “eventfulness” of its plot, as well as by its relevance to the contemporary wartime context. Сonclusions. The study demonstrates that a completed literary work can be conceived as a form of manifestation of the literary event, while the poetics of the work can be understood as teleologically subordinated to the event. It is shown that the literary event can serve as an analytical tool for examining the poetics of a work, and the functioning of the main methods of identifying the literary event at different levels of the text is demonstrated. The study proposes new approaches to the analysis of the literary event (reversal of the horizon of understanding; immanent series and factors of transcendence; fabular-narrative reference; ontic-ontological dictionary). The practical significance of the research lies in the development of new approaches to the analysis of poetics based on the singular eventfulness of the work. The study lays the groundwork for the development of a broader theoretical, practical, and critical field of evential studies. Prospects for further research include the typologization of strategies for the formation of the literary event, the study of the ontological space of the event, and the analysis of the processes of reader identity transformation in the encounter with the event of the text.Вступ. Категорія "події" стає дедалі важливішою концепцією для аналізу глобальних перетворень, через які сьогодні проходить світ, і літературознавство потребує оновлення інструментів, необхідних для осмислення явища "події" у художньому тексті. Поняття "художньої подія" у сучасній літературній теорії має кілька потрактувань: множинне у наратологічній та семіотичній традиціях, сингулярне (дефляційне та радикальне) – у герменевтичних і феноменологічних підходах. У дослідженні дається комплексне осмислення радикальної сингулярної художньої події як інструменту поетологічного аналізу: визначення основних характеристик події, способів її функціонування у тексті, підходів до її виявлення. Методи. Методологічну основу дослідження становить поєднання феноменологічних і герменевтичних підходів із семантичною моделлю фікційного світу в рамках теорії можливих світів. Результати. Вперше проведено дослідження радикальної сингулярної художньої події як інструменту аналізу поетики художнього твору. Дано визначення художньої події як невербального координувального центру, що формує та визначає елементи поетики твору, а також проаналізовано систему зв’язків між сингулярною подією та різними аспектами поетики твору: рецептивним, технічним, структурним і змістовим. Практичне використання віднайдених характеристик події та способів їх застосування в поетологічному аналізі продемонстровано на новелі В. Симоненка "Весілля Опанаса Крокви". Вибір тексту для аналізу обґрунтований вираженою "подіє вістю" фабули новели, а також актуальним воєнним контекстом. Висновки. У результаті дослідження показано, що завершений художній твір може мислитися як форма маніфестації художньої події, а поетика твору може бути розглянута як така, що є телеологічно підлеглою події. Показано, що художня подія може бути використана як інструмент аналізу поетики твору, продемонстровано роботу основних методів виявлення художньої події на різних рівнях твору. У роботі запропоновано нові шляхи аналізу художньої події (розворот горизонту розуміння; іманентні ряди та чинники трансцендування; фабульно-нараційна референція; онтико-онтологічний словник). Практичне значення дослідження пов’язане з розробкою нових підходів до аналізу поетики твору на основі сингулярної подієвості твору. Робота закладає основи для розвитку великого теоретико-практичного та критичного напряму подієвих студій (evential studies).
