Considered difficult life circumstances as part of social exclusion, in relation to the concepts of "normal life", "life difficulties", "life situation", "life circumstances" and "complexity", in terms of understanding difficult life circumstances as a person characterized by relevant physical, physiological, mental factors of the person, as well as other factors that are not dependent on the will of the person, etc. It is emphasized that in the scientific literature there is no unity in the terminological sense of the concept of "difficult life circumstance", and therefore, in fact, there are no clear criteria characterizing the situation in which a person or his or her family has got into difficulty. In the cancers of the unit, the scientist identified the main factors that can cause difficult life circumstances and gave the author an understanding of the concept of "difficult life circumstances". It is stated that the difficult life circumstances, as an integral part of social exclusion, imply a significant limitation of a person in the realization of individual human rights, which is connected with his social status, insufficient financial resources, old age, health status, etc.У статті здійснено розгляд наукових позицій вчених щодо суспільно-правового розуміння поняття «складні життєві обставини», здійснено аналіз вказаного поняття у співвідношенні із такими поняттями як: «труднощі», «непередбачувана ситуація», «стресова ситуація», «критична ситуація». Розглянуто  складні життєві обставини як частину соціальної ексклюзії, у співвідношенні із поняттями «нормальне життя», «життєві труднощі», «життєва ситуація», «життєва обставина» та «складність», з точки зору розуміння складних життєвих обстави як стану особи, який характеризується відповідними фізичними, фізіологічними, розумовими чинниками особи, а також  іншими чинниками, які не залежать від волі особи тощо. Наголошено на тому, що у науковій літературі не має єдності у термінологічному розумінні поняття «складна життєва обставина», а отже фактично відсутні чіткі критерії, які характеризують ситуацію, в яку потрапила людини чи її сім'я як складну. У рамках статті науковцем названо основні фактори, які можуть спричинити виникнення складних життєвих обставин та надано авторське розуміння поняття «складна життєва обставина». Констатується факт того, що складні життєві обставини, як складова частина соціальної ексклюзії, передбачає суттєве обмеження особи у реалізації окремих прав людини, що пов’язано із її соціальним статусом, недостатніми фінансовими ресурсами, старістю, станом здоров’я та ін.encircumstancelife circumstancecomplexitylife situation.обставинажиттєва обставинаскладністьжиттєва ситуація.Стаття
