The relevance of the study is determined by the geopolitical context of today and the rapidly changing landscape of international relations between world states. Determining the features characteristic of the Arabic-language diplomatic discourse in its written form will contribute to a better understanding of communicative strategies in the context of intercultural communication based on the socio-cultural background, the history of the formation of the state and the development of the language. Methods. The research used: continuous sampling method (selecting texts to be analyzed), descriptive method (organization, interpretation and classification of linguistic phenomena), comparative method (systematic comparison of similar semantic units and finding common and different elements), inductive (analysis from specific to general) and deductive (analysis from general to specific) methods. Results. It was determined that the Arabic diplomatic discourse in its written form, despite the prevailing tendency in the texts to laconic (at least from an emotional point of view) presentation of information, is a complex and multi-vector part of the Arabic linguistic tradition, which is primarily explained by the complex history of the coexistence of the countries of the Arab world, in particular Egypt, and the State of Israel, the bilateral agreement between which was analyzed. Conclusions. It has been established that the written type of Arabic-language diplomatic discourse is based on features inherent in a number of other types of discourse, in particular the legal one, which partially facilitates the perception of the framework structure of official business texts. Despite the presence of features in common with oral Arabic diplomatic discourse, in written texts of this type, much greater emphasis is placed on restrained and step-by-step presentation of information, mostly without a manipulative component.Вступ. Актуальність дослідження зумовлена геополітичним контекстом сьогодення та швидкозмінним ландшафтом міжнародних відносин між світовими державами. Визначення особливостей, характерних для арабськомовного дипломатичного дискурсу у його письмовій формі, сприятиме кращому розумінню комунікативних стратегій у контексті міжкультурного спілкування, що ґрунтуються на соціокультурному бекграунді, історії становлення держави й розвитку мови. Методи. Використані: метод суцільної вибірки (виокремлення текстів, що підлягають аналізу), описовий метод (організація, інтерпретація і класифікація мовних явищ), зіставний метод (системне порівняння схожих семантичних одиниць і віднайдення спільних і відмінних елементів), індуктивний (аналіз від конкретного до загального) і дедуктивний (аналіз від загального до конкретного) методи. Результати. Визначено, що арабський дипломатичний дискурс у його письмовій формі, незважаючи на панівну тенденцію в текстах до лаконічної (щонайменше, з емоційного погляду) подачі інформації, є комплексною та багатовекторною частиною арабської лінгвістичної традиції, що насамперед пояснюється складною історією співіснування країн арабського світу, зокрема Єгипту, і держави Ізраїль, двостороння угода між якими була проаналізована. Висновки. Встановлено, що письмовий різновид арабськомовного дипломатичного дискурсу ґрунтується на особливостях, притаманних багатьом іншим типам дискурсів, зокрема юридичному, що частково полегшує сприйняття рамкової структури офіційно-ділових текстів.
