Педагогіка, 2(2), 28–33.https://ir.library.knu.ua/handle/15071834/18591The determination of the peculiarities of the professional activity of support staff in higher education institutions is essential for the definition of the professional competence structure of this category of personnel.Given the heterogeneity, different degrees of professional training, and a variety of employment functions of this group of employees in higher education institutions, the elucidation of the core principles of professional activity and the professional competence development of support staff is of pivotal importance. In this regard the issue of the modification of the support staff professional activity, intended to maintain the appropriate quality of education, the proper organization of educational process, the high level of immediate information distribution and guidance of all participants of the educational process in the sphere of innovations within the framework of higher education reforms, is crucial for the executives of structural subdivisions of higher education institutions. The analysis of the standard job descriptions of support staff in higher education institutions made it possible to reveal the main tasks of such activity and to clarify its purpose, which consists in the organization of the educational process in compliance with applicable legal requirements.The article defines the professional activity of this category of employees as a set of organizational, managerial, information-analytical and communicative activities. The author outlines the types of professional competence, the acquirement of which may help to solve effectively series of tasks in accordance with job responsibilities.The elucidation of the professional activity specificities enables the determination of the content and structure of the professional competence of support staff of higher education institutions, the establishment of the scope and content of knowledge and skills necessary for the performance of professional duties.У статті розкрито особливості професійної діяльності навчально-допоміжного персоналу вищого навчального закладу, які полягають у забезпеченні та підтримці належного рівня організації освітнього процесу. Професійну діяльність цієї категорії працівників охарактеризовано як сукупність організаційно-управлінської, інформаційно-аналітичної та комунікативної діяльності.
