The basic trends of modern university education have been studied. An answer has been suggested to the question: under which type of institution the problem of education's matching to the requirements of modern organizational culture of the society can be solved? The connection between the stages of development of society and the changing of requirements to the methodology of training in classical universities has been tracked. It has been suggested that the basis of the new educational paradigm of the innovative learning has to become. The basic features of such training and the conditions that allow its implementation have been given. The author's vision of ways of development of the students' learning activities methodology on the basis of national classical university education achievements has been expressed.В статті розглянуто роль класичних університетів у забезпеченні розвитку суспільства у відповідності з вимогами його провідної організаційної культури. Досліджено основні тенденції сучасної університетської освіти. Запропоновано відповідь на запитання: в рамках якого типу навчального закладу може бути вирішена проблема відповідності освіти вимогам сучасної організаційної культури суспільства?
