Таке дослідження сприятиме подальшому тлумаченню латинського елемента в історії розвитку окремих слов’янських мов.Studies on the lexical influence Latin exerted on Old Church Slavonic are limited in number. At the same time there is a lack of contributions devoted to a quantitative analysis of Latin lexemes in the strict Church Slavonic canon. For this reason the primary aim of the present article consists in an approximate evaluation and description of those Latinisms which can be found in early Church Slavonic texts.
