On this basis, the conditions for a proper assessment of the ratio of innovative and traditional means of military communication, which serves to make correct political and military decisions, are considered. The need for a professional, rational and critical attitude to the use of propaganda in the system of other means of military-political communication is explained. The importance of an operational approach to propaganda in a democratic society and the development of one's own means of counteraction is revealed. The specifics of control, subordination and integration of propaganda into a broader system of military-political information and influence on the behavior of citizens are shown. The importance of using propaganda to attract public support, "demonize" opponents and support national unity is revealed. The communication specificity of democracies is reflected, in particular in the context of adapting their strategies of military-political communication, which blurs the line between information protection and propaganda. The feasibility of disinformation, which can have serious negative consequences for democratic processes and can also limit freedom of speech, is substantiated.Досліджено значення пропагандистського використання політичної міфології, політичних наративів та деструктивної медійної поведінки, які становлять загрозу згуртованості єдності та стабільності суспільства в умовах війни. На цій основі розглянуто умови належної оцінки співвідношення інноваційних і традиційних засобів військової комунікації, яка слугує виробленню вірних політичних та військових рішень. Осмислено необхідність фахового раціонального та критичного ставлення для використання засобів пропаганди в системі інших засобів військово-політичної комунікації. Розкрито значення операціонального підходу до пропаганди в демократичному суспільстві та розвитку власних засобів протидії. Показано специфіку контролю, підпорядкування та інтеграції пропаганди до ширшої системи військово-політичного інформування та впливу на поведінку громадян. Виявлено значення використання пропаганди для залучення суспільної підтримки, «демонізації» супротивників та підтримки національної єдності. Доведено, що політичні умови сучасних демократій вимагають, щоб військова пропаганда дотримувалася політичних директив і правових рамок.
