The purpose of the study presupposes the presence of the following tasks: to investigate the historical context of racial protests in the USA; characterize the catalysts of BLM activity; consider basic approaches to analyzing BLM activities; to analyze the linguistic means and levels of communication of BLM participants; BLM participants' protest strategies; characterize the attitude towards BLM activities in the modern media discourse. The subject of the study is the activity of Black Lives Matter within the framework of a linguistic approach.
