The importance of the stated problem lies in the fact that by analyzing the substantial contribution of I. Krasnodemska to the Ukrainian studies development and the refutation of Russian falsifications and myths regarding history of Ukraine. This enables us to comprehend the main stages of the formation of the researcher's personality and scientific path, but also to trace how Ukrainian studies knowledge developed at the turn of the millennium. The study of the principal characteristics and patterns of the functioning of Ukraine as a civilizational phenomenon and geopolitical reality, which I. Krasnodemska has been thoroughly researching for over a quarter of a century, is timely, since this significant accumulated experience should be updated in order to extrapolate to today's realities and actively use it to consolidate Ukrainians both in Ukraine and abroad.The purpose study is a comprehensive analysis of I. Krasnodemska's contribution to the development of Ukrainian studies and the refutation of Russian falsifications and myths of the history of Ukraine.Conclusions. For more than 25 years, I. Krasnodemska has been successfully developing Ukrainian studies, studying the functioning of Ukrainian studies institutions in the diaspora, interpreting the work of prominent researchers of Ukrainians abroad, analyzing Ukrainian state-building and nation-building processes, and refuting Russian falsifications and myths of Ukrainian history. It was found that a significant result of this productive work was the writing and successful public defense by I. Krasnodemska in 2010 of a dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Historical Sciences: “The Contribution of Ukrainian Diaspora Scientists from European Countries to the Development of Ukrainian Studies (20s–60s of the 20th Century)”, and somewhat later, in 2011, the publication of her significantly supplemented and expanded results in the format of a scientific monograph “Ukrainian Studies of the Diaspora (20th Century)”. It is shown that with the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian war, the researcher actively participated in the implementation of the competitive project "Historical Preconditions and Modern Social Consequences of the Aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine 2014–2015" (2016–2017), where she continued to research the Ukrainian diaspora and its role in countering Russian information aggression aimed at creating a negative image of Ukraine and Ukrainians abroad. It is revealed that during the full-scale phase of the Russian-Ukrainian war, I. Krasnodemska continues to actively fight against the imperial narratives of rashists, in particular, as the responsible executor of the fundamental scientific research work “Exposing Russian falsifications and myths of the history of Ukraine as a component of the humanitarian security of the state” (2025–2027), she refutes numerous Russian insinuations aimed at discrediting the Ukrainian state and its citizens.Актуальність. Важливість заявленої проблеми полягає у тому, що, аналізуючи вагомий внесок І. Краснодемської у розвиток українознавства та спростування російських міфів і фальсифікацій історії України, маємо можливість не лише осмислити основні етапи становлення особистості й наукового шляху дослідниці, а й простежити, як розвивалися українознавчі знання на зламі тисячоліть. Вивчення особливостей і закономірностей функціонування України як цивілізаційного феномену й геополітичної реальності, які ґрунтовно досліджує І. Краснодемська вже понад чверть століття, є на часі, оскільки цей вагомий накопичений досвід варто актуалізувати, щоб екстраполювати його на реалії сьогодення і активно використовувати для консолідації українців як в Україні, так і за її межами. Мета дослідження – комплексний аналіз внеску І. Краснодемської у розвиток українознавства та спростування російських міфів і фальсифікацій історії України. Висновки. З’ясовано, що вже понад 25 років І. Краснодемська успішно розвиває українознавство, вивчає функціонування українознавчих інституцій у діаспорі, осмислює доробок видатних дослідників закордонного українства, аналізує українські державотворчі й націєтворчі процеси та спростовує російські міфи і фальсифікації історії України. Виявлено, що вагомим результатом цієї продуктивної праці стало написання і успішний захист І. Краснодемською дисертації на здобуття наукового ступеня кандидата історичних наук «Внесок вчених української діаспори європейських країн у розвиток українознавства (20–60-ті рр. ХХ ст.)», а дещо згодом публікація монографії «Українознавчі студії діаспори (ХХ ст.)».
