Матеріалом дослідження послужили статті на воєнно-політичну тематику з новинних інтернет сторінок BBC та Мілітарний. Обʼєктом дослідження виступає воєнно-політичний дискурс та його переклад, а предметом дослідження — комплекс теоретичних та практичних проблем, повʼязаних із перекладом воєнно-політичного дискурсу. Визначено поняття «воєнно-політичний дискурс» та наведена характеристика воєнно-політичного дискурсу. Описані базові засади перекладу воєнно-політичного дискурсу в обох напрямках. Проаналізовано основні типи перекладацьких трансформацій, які використовуються в англо-українському та україно-англійському перекладі текстів воєнно-політичного дискурсу на матеріалах ВВС та Мілітарний. Здійснено дослідження способів перекладу українських військових реалій на англійську мову.This research focuses on the translation challenges faced in military-political discourse, particularly in the context of the Russian-Ukrainian war. The study aims to comprehensively examine the structural features of this discourse and explore translation methods for the pair Ukrainian - English. The relevance of this research arises from the increased interest of linguists and translation scholars in military-political discourse, which plays a significant role in contemporary society. While some aspects of translating military-political discourse have been explored, certain areas remain under-researched, necessitating further investigation. Accurate translation in this domain is crucial for effective international cooperation. The research subject matter is military-political discourse and its translation, while the topic encompasses various theoretical and practical issues related to translation. The research utilizes a range of methods including structural-functional analysis, sampling, classification, descriptive and comparative approaches. The goals of the study include defining military-political discourse, characterizing its key features, describing translation principles in both directions, and analyzing translation transformations in English-Ukrainian and Ukrainian-English translations using materials from BBC and Militarnyi.uaБакалаврська робота
