Матеріалом дослідження стали 39 лексем (з них 19 на позначення козацької холодної зброї та 20 на позначення вогнепальної). Для здійснення вибірки назв зброї використано літописні пам’ятки: Львівський літопис, Літопис Самовидця, Острозький літописець та «Хроніку з літописців стародавніх» Феодосія Софоновича.The article is devoted to the peculiarities of the use and origin of the names of Cossack cold steel and firearms of the 15th – 18th centuries, recorded in historical and chronicle monuments of the selected period. The study used a descriptive method and a comparative historical method. The material of the study was 39 lexemes for Cossack cold steel and firearms (19 of them for Cossack cold steel and 20 for firearms).
