Since the issue of medical care for this category of persons is quite acute and affects the prestige of work. The appropriate level of their medical care is an important factor that affects the choice of a future profession, where a person, risking his own life, must count on the provision of timely medical assistance and medical support in case of incapacity. The risk of injury at positions in the system of the Security Service of Ukraine (a special state body with law enforcement functions that ensures the state security of Ukraine) is quite high, and therefore the state at the legislative level must ensure the timely provision of medical assistance, carry out rehabilitation measures, etc. Therefore, the purpose of the article is to consider one of the important social rights of servicemen and employees of the Security Service of Ukraine, enshrined at the constitutional level - the right to health care and medical assistance. The article analyzes domestic legislation in the field under consideration, as well as the views of scientists on the researched issue. It is noted that the medical provision of servicemen and employees of the Security Service of Ukraine has a more pronounced social protection compared to ordinary citizens of our country, which is primarily related to the specifics of their activities, thanks to which the protection of state sovereignty, the constitutional order, territorial integrity, scientific the technical and defense potential of Ukraine, the legitimate interests of the state and the rights of citizens against the intelligence and subversive activities of foreign special services, encroachments by certain organizations, groups and individuals, as well as ensuring the protection of state secrets, both in peacetime and in wartime. And as a result, they have a higher risk of injury and the possibility of receiving damage to their health, so they should be more protected.Одним із важливих соціальних прав військовослужбовців і працівників Служби безпеки України є право на охорону здоров'я та медичну допомогу. Оскільки питання медичного забезпечення даної категорії осіб стоїть досить гостро та впливає на престижність праці. Належний рівень їх медичного забезпечення є важливим чинником, який впливає на вибір майбутньої професії, де особа, ризикуючи власним життям має розраховувати на надання своєчасної медичної допомоги та медичної підтримки у випадку втрати працездатності. Ризик травмування на посадах в системі Служби безпеки України (державний орган спеціального призначення з правоохоронними функціями, який забезпечує державну безпеку України) є досить високим, а тому держава на законодавчому рівні має забезпечити вчасне надання медичної допомоги, провести заходи щодо реабілітації тощо. Відтак мета статті розглянути один із важливих соціальних прав військовослужбовців і працівників Служби безпеки України, закріплених на конституційному рівні – право на охорону здоров'я та медичну допомогу. У статті проаналізовано вітчизняне законодавство у розглядуваній сфері, а також погляди науковців з досліджуваного питання. Зазначено, що медичне забезпечення військовослужбовців і працівників Служби безпеки України має більш виражений соціальний захист порівняно з пересічними громадянами нашої держави, що в першу чергу пов’язано зі специфікою їх діяльності, завдяки якій забезпечується захист державного суверенітету, конституційного ладу, територіальної цілісності, науково-технічного і оборонного потенціалу України, законних інтересів держави та прав громадян від розвідувально-підривної діяльності іноземних спеціальних служб, посягань з боку окремих організацій, груп та осіб, а також забезпечення охорони державної таємниці, як у мирний час, так і у воєнний період.
