Considering that the choice of ligands plays a crucial role in the design of Dy(III)-complexes with bright luminescence and SMMs behavior it is proposed to use carbacylamidophosphates (CAPhs, heterosubstituted analogs of -diketones) as ligands for obtaining such complexes. The choice of CAPh ligands is based on their good sensitizing properties toward Dy3+ ion as well as posibility to provide suitable ligand field for the occurrence of Dy3+ SMM behavior. A number of Dy3+ coordination compounds of different types will be synthesized using developed by UA team methods of synthesis. Then the compounds will be obtained in form of single crystals, which will be investigated by means of X-ray analysis. This part of work can be done by Ukrainian team in Ukraine. Investigations of luminescent and magnetic properties of the obtained compounds are planned to be performed with help of our European partner. This research will also include theoretical analysis based on crystal field calculation and the superposition model (SPM) as well as calculations of intramolecular energy transfer rates in coordination compounds with sensitized emission.Dysprosium Coordination compounds Luminescence Magnetic properties Crystal Fields AnalysisInvestigation of the potentially bi-functional magneto-luminescent Dy(III) complexes based on carbacylamidophosphatesbasic research
