Polish Studies of Kyiv, 38(38), 326–338. https://doi.org/10.17721/psk.2022.38.326-33810.17721/psk.2022.38.326-338https://ir.library.knu.ua/handle/15071834/14907This article states that along with numerous Ukrainian and Polish researchers of the 19th-20th centuries. perhaps the most important among the scientific works of philological scientists was the contribution made by the famous Ukrainian scientist Volodymyr Hnatiuk to the study of the literary and historical aspects of the activity of the «Ukrainian school» of Polish romanticism in general and the work of its prominent representative - T. Padura in particular. The purpose of the proposed investigation is an attempt to highlight the various aspects of T. Padura’s work in the critical receptions of V. Hnatiuk. The tasks detailing the stated goal are the systematization and generalization of: 1) the main stages of V. Hnatiuk’s scientific activity, 2) the scientist’s contribution to the development of Ukrainian Polonistics, 3) the main directions of V. Hnatiuk’s research of T. Padura’s work. The article traces the main biographical milestones of V. Hnatiuk’s life, the tragic circumstances of his death in Stalin’s concentration camps, characterizes the content and main vectors of scientific orientation of the scientist’s historical and literary legacy. It is noted that the historical-literary heritage of V. Hnatiuk is impressive both in its volume and in the variety of the thematic scope of research interests. In addition to numerous works devoted to various issues of the history of Ukrainian literature, the most important part of V. Hnatiuk’s literary heritage is his extremely balanced and thorough Polonistic explorations, devoted mainly to the study of historical stages and works of the most prominent representatives of Polish romanticism and, in particular, his «Ukrainian schools». The corpus of Polonistic investigations by V. Hnatiuk dedicated to the study of the work of one of the most prominent representatives of the Ukrainian school, T. Padura, is characterized. In the general range of vectors of research interest on the part of V. Hnatiuk in the work of T. Padura, the following main thematic areas are distinguished: 1) Biographical sketch of the stages of the life path of T. Padura, 2) Worldview orientations of the writer, 3) Ukrainian national question in the work of T. Padura, 4) Ideological and thematic aspects of creativity, 5) Artistic features of poetry.У запропонованій статті констатовано, що поряд з численними українськими та польськими дослідниками ХІХ-ХХ ст. чи не найбільш вагомим у низці наукових праць вчених-філологів став внесок, який зробив у вивчення літературно-історичних аспектів діяльності «української школи» польського романтизму у цілому й творчості її визначного представника – Т. Падури зокрема, відомий український науковець Володимир Гнатюк. Метою запропонованої розвідки є спроба висвітлення різноаспектних векторів творчості Т. Падури в критичних рецепціях В. Гнатюка. Завданнями, що деталізують наголошену мету, є систематизація та узагальнення: 1) основних етапів наукової діяльності В. Гнатюка, 2) внеску вченого у розвиток української полоністики, 3) основних напрямів дослідження В. Гнатюком творчості Т. Падури. У загальному діапазоні векторів дослідницького інтересу з боку В. Гнатюка до творчості Т. Падури виокремлено такі основні тематичні напрями: 1) Біографічний нарис етапів життєвого шляху Т. Падури, 2) Світоглядні орієнтири письменника, 3) Українське національне питання в творчості Т.
