Вісник кримінального судочинства(1), 127–132.https://ir.library.knu.ua/handle/15071834/24216The article deals with the problematic aspects of the criminal proceeding start on the facts of illegal gambling.The article examines the peculiarities of the beginning of criminal proceeding in case of detection by an investigator or prosecutor of information that suggests the existence of illegal gambling, and in the case of an application (message) about committing such gambling. Applications for committing this crime are often served by «nominal» organizers of gambling, gambling workers, and ordinary citizens who accidentally found evidence of gambling. Sometimes these claims are presented by players or members of their families. Self-identifying information about a crime by an investigator or prosecutor results from their direct action (in the case of the investigation of other crimes by them), from search operations, or from other sources (media, posts on the Internet, ads, etc.). У статті розглянуто особливості початку кримінального провадження про зайняття гральним бізнесом у разі самостійного виявлення слідчим, прокурором відомостей, які свідчать про вчинення зайняття гральним бізнесом, та у разі подання їм заяви (повідомлення) про вчинення зайняття гральним бізнесом.
