The purpose of our work is to determine and analyze the most characteristic genre features of weather forecasts based on the example of English weather texts,as well as to study the compositional and semantic specifics of modern weather reports. The novelty of the work is, first of all, that the proposed study is one of the few works in which an attempt is made to explore the features of synoptic texts in different languages.
