The author analyses the meaning of the term investigation interpretations and gives arguments for identifying it as a notion of a separate genre. Journalistic investigation in the context of Ukrainian literary language is considered to develop under the influence of postsocialist society processes. A large number of journalistic works in this genre are proved to be resonance and have an important social effect.
