Висвітлено методи нагромадження матеріальних статків та характерні напрямки їх використання, показано активну співпрацю товариств не лише у межах краю, а і з закордонними представництвами та українською інтелігенцією зазначеного періоду.The article analyzes the contribution of Ukrainian students' societies in development of economic in Eastern Galicia from 1918 to 1939. On the basis of the analysis of already well-known but redefined from the standpoint of modern methodology and little-known facts, the tendencies of development, the role and place of the Ukrainian student movement in the economic life of Eastern Galicia and the formation of national consciousness, self-affirmation and consolidation of the Ukrainian nation in the investigated period are researched. The contribution of students to the stabilization of the financial situation of Eastern Galicia is shown. Students helped those who needed help during the state building processes and the formation of national and cultural life. The article describes the methods of accumulation of material wealth and the typical directions of their use.
