Таку інформацію можуть надати саме опубліковані збірники документів та інші історичні матеріали. Методологія дослідження ґрунтується на стратегіях порівняння, типології, принципах історизму, соціального підходу. В основу логіки викладу матеріалу покладено проблемно-історичний принцип, що дозволяє в хронологічній послідовності розкрити основні теми і напрямки опублікованих збірників документів. Наукова новизна розвідки пов’язана з тим, що питання аналізу місця і ролі документальних видань у формуванні інформаційного простору досі не стало предметом спеціального дослідження. Висновки. В інформаційному просторі України прослідковуються важливі зміни. Обсяг документів, що побачили світ після Другої світової війни досить об’ємний і створив тематичні блоки з достатньо широкою хронологією. Він поділений на радянський і пострадянський періоди з чітко визначеною зміною акцентів і підходів до висвітлення історичних проблем. З початком доби незалежності України інформаційний простір наповнювався найактуальнішими питаннями вітчизняної історії, що були деформовані партійно-радянською тоталітарною системою або замовчувались. Звернено увагу на вагомий внесок у формування науково обґрунтованого інформаційного простору документальних збірників із краєзнавчої тематики, що побачили світ уже на початку ХХІ ст.The purpose of the article is to analyze the influence of documentary publications on the formation of the national information space, including in the modern conditions of the mass spread of information and communication technologies, where unverified or false data are often present, and this requires the availability of objective sources of information. Published collections of documents and other historical materials can provide such information. The research methodology is based on strategies of comparison, typology, principles of historicism, social approach. The logic of the presentation of the material is based on the problem-historical principle, which allows revealing the main topics and directions of the published collections of documents in chronological order. The scientific novelty of intelligence is related to the fact that the question of analyzing the place and role of documentary publications in the formation of the information space has not yet become the subject of special research. Conclusions. Important changes are being observed in the information space of Ukraine. The volume of documents published after the Second World War is quite voluminous and created thematic blocks with a fairly broad chronology. It is divided into the Soviet and post-Soviet periods with a clearly defined change in emphasis and approaches to the coverage of historical problems. With the beginning of the era of Ukraine’s independence, the information space was filled with the most pressing issues of national history, which were deformed by the party-Soviet totalitarian system or were kept silent.
