New legal matter, as acquired, brought into the legal system as a whole, a separate branch of law actively interacts with the stable, traditional legal field. The methodological "bridge" for the interaction of the specified components is formed by the principles of law. The phenomenon of forming the content of industry principles is explored in the article using the principles of labor law as an example. This article is devoted to the study of the principles of labor law and the methodology of forming their content. On the basis of significant scientific material devoted to the principles of law, a number of approaches to the systematization and structuring of the doctrine of principles are proposed. With regard to the problem of formulating principles, methodological restrictions are proposed, the observance of which will contribute to the truth of knowledge.Розвиток галузі права поєднує дві складові. Нова правова матерія, як набута, привнесена до системи права в цілому, окремої галузі права активно взаємодіє із сталим, традиційним правовим полем. Методологічний «місток» для взаємодії вказаних складових утворюють принципи права. Феномен формування змісту галузевих принципів розритий у статті на прикладі принципів трудового права. Дана стаття присвячена вченню про принципи трудового права та методології формування їх змісту. На підставі значного наукового матеріалу, присвяченого принципам права, запропоновано низку підходів до систематизації та структурування вчення про принципи.
