Аналізуються тематико-проблематичні аспекти міжконфесійного діалогу, які потребують значних зусиль для нормалізації відносин. Встановлено, що діалог є нагальною потребою часу, відповіддю на глобалізаційні виклики та відображенням постмодерних ціннісно-смислових вимірів.The objective of this article is to describes the inter-jurisdictional dialogue in the Orthodox environment. The analysis of sources and literature on this subject possible to determine the periods that contributed to the establishment of theological dialogue in the field of interfaith relations. The first stage of the process was accompanied by ignoring the enemy and interfaith theological confrontation. The idea of convergence of people, civilizations and religions that underlying, objectively demanded new approaches to dialogue. In particular, it is required to rethink the concept of dialogue. In medieval Catholic thought dialogue advocated the idea of "corpus christianum" ("Christian body") as a precondition for a unified Christian community led by the Vatican. However, this dialogue did not provide a tolerant attitude towards other religions while creating prerequisites for its establishment. In the mid XX century, there is a tendency to establish interpersonal relationships laity and Church leaders on the basis of dialogue and the adoption of special documents included in the Social Concept of churches within which given appropriate explanation. The Second Vatican Council (1962-1965) radically reinterpreted the Catholic attitude to different religions and contributed to the formation and implementation methodology of theological dialogue aimed at overcoming the legacy of theological differences between Christian denominations. In the new conditions the interpretation of dialogue in the context of exceptional missions against other religions or religious and cultural sense of superiority of Catholicism over them becomes unacceptable. The new approach was expressed that, since the 60's of XX century, in Catholicism begins to propagate the idea of religious and ideological pluralism, the idea of tolerance. Thus, expect the possibility of overcoming the difficulties which inevitably arise in the way of deployment of interfaith dialogue and thus to achieve the dialogue degree that would satisfy both the needs of a horizontal "man – the world", and the vertical "God – man" do not have to.
