It is determined that, through its peaceful policy, Ukraine is not ready for armed aggression. The provisions of international normative legal acts regulating the protection of medical personnel and medical facilities during armed conflicts of international and international character are examined. The basics of implementation of the provisions of international humanitarian law by national legislation and peculiarities of criminal responsibility for violations and crimes against physicians in the area of ​​armed conflict are investigated.Доведено, що від початку російської агресії на Сході України проблеми міжнародного гуманітарного права, зокрема захисту медичного персоналу в умовах збройного конфлікту, набули особливої актуальності. Визначається, що через свою миролюбиву політику Україна виявилась не готовою до збройної агресії. Вивчено положення міжнародних нормативно-правових актів, якими регулюється захист медичного персоналу та медичних об’єктів під час збройних конфліктів міжнародного та міжнародного характеру.
