Основною метою роботи було визначення перекладацьких стратегій, що використовуються на практиці та забезпечують адекватне відтворення змісту та відповідного впливу на адресата. Для досягнення цієї мети були сформульовані завдання, що охоплюють як теоретичний аспект — опрацювання наукових праць із перекладознавства, лінгвокультурології й прагматики, — так і практичний — аналіз прикладів перекладу іспанських субтитрів серіалу “Берлін”. Наукова новизна цієї праці полягає у систематизації використання мовних прагматичних і лінгвокультурних одиниць, зафіксованих у субтитрах, та визначенні найбільш ефективних трансформацій, які можуть використовуватись при їх перекладі. Застосовані підходи дозволили виявити закономірності у виборі перекладацьких стратегій залежно від типу мовного засобу. Комплексне використання методів — зокрема, суцільної вибірки, перекладацького аналізу та кількісного підрахунку — забезпечило достовірність результатів і можливість їх узагальнення. Результати дослідження демонструють, що під час перекладу лінгвокультурних реалій найбільш ефективним є використання еквівалентів, описовий переклад, модуляція, тоді як прагматичні засоби здебільшого потребують лексико-граматичних адаптацій для досягнення аналогічного комунікативного ефекту. Висновки наголошують на важливості урахування згаданого культурного контексту при роботі з аудіовізуальними текстами, що підтверджує практичну значущість проведеного дослідження.The relevance of this study is determined by the need and demand for high-quality reproduction of linguistic, cultural, and pragmatic elements in the translation of Spanish-language audiovisual content. Translation of subtitles for foreign TV series requires not only language skills, but also the ability to adapt culturally marked units for the Ukrainian-speaking audience while preserving the communicative effect. In this context, the translation of subtitles for the contemporary Spanish TV series “Berlin” is an illustrative example for analysis. The primary objective of the study was to identify translation strategies used in practice that ensure accurate reproduction of the content and the corresponding impact on the addressee. In order to accomplish this objective, the tasks were formulated to cover both the theoretical aspect - studying scientific works on translation studies, linguistic and cultural studies, and pragmatics - and the practical aspect - analysing examples of translation of Spanish subtitles of the Berlin series. The scientific novelty of this work is to systematise the use of pragmatic and linguistic and cultural units recorded in subtitles and to identify the most effective transformations that can be used in their translation. The applied approaches made it possible to identify regularities in the choice of translation strategies depending on the type of language medium. The comprehensive application of methods, including continuous sampling, translation analysis and quantitative counting, ensured the reliability of the results and the possibility of their generalisation. The outcomes of the research demonstrate that when translating linguistic and cultural realities, the most effective methods are the use of equivalents, descriptive translation, and modulation, while pragmatic means mostly require lexical and grammatical adaptations to achieve the same communicative effect. The conclusions highlight the importance of taking into account the aforementioned cultural context when working with audiovisual texts, which confirms the practical significance of the study.
