The relevance of the research. The great wars of the 19th and 20th centuries were powerful blows not only to the economy and culture of the involved states but also to the social and personal worldview, understanding of the meaning of life, reality, and prospects for development. There was an almost dominant awareness that the world had changed radically during and after the war. First and foremost, the two world wars dealt such a terrible blow to the public and individual consciousness. The First World War was perceived as a meaningless, unjustified massacre of several million people, after which it was no longer possible to return to the previous existence. This could not escape fiction. The purpose is to analyse the reproduction of radical changes in the world order and socio-psychological individual self-perception and perception of the world after major wars in fiction, in particular the consequences of the Russian war against Ukraine in contemporary Ukrainian military literature. Conclusions. Russia's war against Ukraine is still ongoing, and Ukrainian military literature is already sending clear signals to readers about the destruction of the pre-war world, literally and figuratively. This became obvious to everyone after the full-scale invasion. However, works of military literature prove, contrary to the expectations of most Ukrainians, that it is also impossible to return to ‘yesterday's’ life after the war (it was believed that it would be short-lived, and the hope for this constantly supports the resilience of Ukrainian citizens). Writers, their characters, plot, and psychological conflicts of fictional and non-fictional texts prove that we live and, most importantly, will continue to live in completely different conditions and with a radically different worldview. So far, it is difficult to clearly articulate all the features of the "new world," perhaps because they are present in the texts, but the researcher (i.e., the author of this article) is unable to catch and verbalise them. Nevertheless, certain features of this world that seem to be dominant have been recorded. First, we will have to live with great losses for a long time, with a sense of their irreparability. This will be true for hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of those who have lost their closest family members, relatives, friends, and comrades, and comrades-in-arms. But it will also affect the entire national and state community, which rallied to repel the enemy, moved from predominantly individual factors of existence to common ones.ukмілітарна (комбатантська) літературапроблематика творувідтворення світоглядусамосприйняття переможцямесіанізмmilitary (combatant) literaturethe problematics of the workreproduction of worldviewself-perception of the winnermessianism«Ніщо не буде так, як раніше»: новий світ після війни“Nothing Will Be the Same as Before”: a New World after the WarСтаття
