The history of Ukrainian national identity, science and culture is inextricably connected to figures who not only worked in their professional field, but also devoted their lives to the promotion of the Ukrainian statehood idea. One of such prominent families was the Cherniakhivsky family, whose activities at the turn of the 19th–20th centuries became an important factor in the development of the Ukrainian cultural and scientific space. The importance of the study is due to the complex formulation of the problem: on the one hand, consideration of all spheres of activity of representatives of the Cherniakhivsky family, and on the other, clarification of their integral contribution to the formation of a nationally conscious intelligentsia and its role in the Ukrainian studies movement. This task is relevant from both a scientific and practical perspectives: modern Ukraine, facing the challenges of war and cultural resistance, needs to be aware of historical examples of commitment to the national idea and the preservation of the intellectual heritage that forms the foundations of the present. The purpose of the article is to analyze the professional, public, cultural, and educational activities of the Cherniakhivsky family to clarify its integral contribution to the development of Ukrainian science, culture, and state ideas. Conclusions. The activities of the Cherniakhivsky family reveal the multifaceted aspects of the Ukrainian studies context of that time, demonstrating the transition from disparate patriotic feelings to the systematic development of national identity and statehood. First of all, they were a vivid example of the formation of a nationally conscious intelligentsia. The Cherniakhivsky family is a unique example of selfless service to Ukraine. Their professional activities in the field of medicine were inextricably intertwined with active public and Ukrainian studies work aimed at the development of Ukrainian science, culture and statehood. They were not only doctors and scientists, but also patriots who, through their lives and activities, showed the Ukrainian spirit and the desire for freedom. The study of their heritage is critical for understanding the history of the Ukrainian national revival and the formation of modern Ukrainian identity.Актуальність. Історія української національної ідентичності, науки та культури нерозривно пов’язана з постатями, які не лише працювали у своїй професійній сфері, а й присвячували життя утвердженню ідеї української державності. Однією з таких визначних родин були Черняхівські, чия діяльність на межі XIX–XX століть стала важливим чинником у розбудові українського культурного та наукового простору. Важливість дослідження обумовлена комплексною постановкою проблеми: з одного боку – розгляд усіх сфер діяльності представників родини Черняхівських, а з другого – з’ясування їхнього цілісного внеску у формування національно свідомої інтелігенції та її ролі в українознавчому русі. Це завдання є актуальним як з наукової, так і з практичної точки зору: сучасна Україна, яка переживає виклики війни та культурного спротиву, потребує усвідомлення історичних прикладів відданості національній ідеї та збереження інтелектуальної спадщини, що формує підвалини сьогодення. Мета статті – проаналізувати професійну, громадську та культурно-освітню діяльність родини Черняхівських, з’ясувати її цілісний внесок у розвиток української науки, культури та державницьких ідей.    Висновки. Діяльність родини Черняхівських розкриває багатогранні аспекти українознавчого контексту того часу, демонструючи перехід від розрізнених патріотичних почуттів до системної розбудови національної ідентичності та державності. Насамперед вони були яскравим прикладом формування національно свідомої інтелігенції. Родина Черняхівських є унікальним прикладом самовідданого служіння Україні. Їхня професійна діяльність у галузі медицини нерозривно перепліталася з активною громадською та українознавчою роботою, спрямованою на розвиток української науки, культури та державності. Вони були не лише лікарями і науковцями, а й патріотами, які своїм життям і діяльністю засвідчили незламність українського духу та прагнення до свободи.
