Pogoretskyi) is the first national study to comprehensively address the criminal law, criminal procedure and forensic issues of the initial stage of investigation of terrorist acts involving improvised explosive devices. The first section provides a forensic characterization of improvised explosive devices, statistical data and typical investigative situations at the beginning of an investigation. The second section elucidates the legal grounds and organizational and methodological principles of the initial stage of pre-trial investigation of such crimes. The third chapter is devoted to the tactics of operations and investigative (including covert) actions, and the fourth chapter is devoted to the problems of using the results obtained in evidence. The monograph contains the author's own methodological recommendations, standard investigative versions and algorithms for operatives and investigators. It is addressed to employees of the Security Service of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Prosecutor's Office, judges, as well as students and teachers of law enforcement educational institutions as a practical guide to the investigation of terrorist crimes.Монографія «Процесуальні та криміналістичні засади початкового етапу розслідування терористичних актів, вчинених з використанням саморобного вибухового пристрою» (М. Погорецького) є першим вітчизняним дослідженням, яке в комплексі розкриває кримінально-правові, кримінально-процесуальні та криміналістичні проблеми початкової стадії провадження у справах про терористичні акти за участю імпровізованих вибухових пристроїв. У першому розділі наведено криміналістичну характеристику саморобних вибухових пристроїв, статистичні дані та типові слідчі ситуації початку розслідування. У другому розділі з’ясовано правові підстави й організаційно-методичні засади початкової стадії досудового розслідування таких злочинів. Третій розділ присвячено тактиці проведення операцій і слідчих (у тому числі негласних) дій, а четвертий – проблемам використання здобутих результатів у доказуванні. Монографія містить авторські методичні рекомендації, типові слідчі версії та алгоритми дій оперативників і слідчих.
