Визначено такі важливі терміни як карст та техногенний карст. Проаналізовано просторовий розподіл природного карсту на території України та подано схематичну карту районування карсту України. Названо природні причини виникнення техногенного карсту в межах України та зроблено огляд техногенних факторів, що впливають на формування карсту при різних видах господарської діяльності, наведено приклади. Розроблено таблиця та рисунок, де відображено поширення в межах природних карстових областей України техногенного карсту та причини його виникнення. Названо методи дослідження карсту. Описано основні способи та методи боротьби з карстом.There is showed the studying actuality of technological karst development in Ukraine. Determined such important terms as karst and technogenic karst. Analyzed the spatial distribution of natural karst in Ukraine (the most significant infestation of these processes set in the Volyn, Rivne, Donetsk, Luhansk, Khmelnytsky, Ternopil, Vinnytsia, Mykolaiv regions and Crimea). Also, there is presented a schematic map of zoning of Ukrainian karst, where according to the structural and tectonic features are allocated three karst countries and seven karst provinces, and within it - sixteen karst regions and forty-six karst areas (according to geomorphological and lithological features). Named natural causes of technogenic karst in Ukraine (rock lithology, its power, presence of the aquifers in overlapping rocks and karst rocks, speed of underground streams, the presence of hydraulic pressures and their extent, chemical aggression of ground water and water resistant properties of rocks). Made overview of technogenic factors affecting the formation of karst in case of different types of economic activity, are examples. This technogenic factors are: change in groundwater quality associated with the injection of various liquids and water; dewatering; sinking into the ground significant amounts of water for extraction of easily soluble underground minerals; construction of different kinds of irrigation facilities, canals, reservoirs, ponds, etc.; intensive economic development on the areas of industrial urban agglomerations. Created a table and an image, which show the distribution within the natural karst regions of Ukraine technogenic karst and its root causes. Also, there are named research methods of karst (for example gravity methods, methods of magnetic exploration, electromagnetic profiling, electromagnetic sensing, seismic, borehole geophysical research), stated that the current system of observations of the technological development of karst in Ukraine requires improvement and technical renovation.
