Методика. Методологічну основу становлять аналіз і узагальнення тематики наукових праць проф. І.Г.Смирнова. Результати. Результатом є виявлення основних напрямів досліджень професора І.Г.Смирнова, які він проводив в різні роки, окреслення кола його наукових інтересів і напрямів використання наукового спадку в освітньо-науковій і практичній діяльності. Наукова новизна полягає у здійсненні комплексного аналізу наукового внеску проф.Смирнова І.Г. у суспільну географію та туризмологію. Практична значимість. Визначені напрями використання напрацювань проф. І.Г.Смирнова при розробці освітніх програм з підготовки фахівців за спеціальністю J3 Туризм та рекреація та в екскурсійній діяльності при розробці екскурсій Києвом і Києво-Подолом.The aim of this article is to reveal the contribution of Doctor of Geographical Sciences, Professor I. Smyrnov, to the development of social geography and tourism studies. Methodology. The methodological basis of the study consists of the analysis and synthesis of the subject matter of Professor I. Smyrnov’s scientific works. Results. The result is the identification of the main research directions pursued by Professor I. Smyrnov over the years, outlining the scope of his scientific interests, and the ways his scientific legacy can be applied in educational, research, and practical activities. The scientific novelty lies in conducting a comprehensive analysis of Professor I. Smyrnov’s contribution to social geography and tourism studies. Practical significance. The directions for applying Professor I. H. Smyrnov’s work have been identified in the development of educational programs for training specialists in the J3 Tourism and Recreation field, as well as in guiding activities when designing tours of Kyiv and the Kyiv-Podil area.ukпрофесор І.Г.
