The relevance of the work is due to the need for a revisionstudy and rethinking of the Soviet literary heritage, when the study of Taras Shevchenko's work paid attention not so much to literary problems as to ideological and populist slogans. Accordingly, the goal of our study was to objectively consider the works of academic critics of Shevchenko, pointing out the obvious tendency, the contentiousness of certain literary judgments and to identify those works that most vividly, productively trace the peculiarities of the poetics and language of the Shevchenko's texts. The studies of the 1960s in the history of Shevchenko's heritage need a critical rethinking, but the assessment of the provisions of individual publications should be based on a reasoned analysis of sources and should not lead to their removal from historical and literary memory. We believe that some aspects of Shevchenko's studies of the Soviet era should be analytically rethinking in modern science through analytical research.Methods. The methodological basis of the study was the system-analytical approach and the method of theoretical generalization.Results. The analysis of the anniversary collections of the 1960s makes it possible to conclude that cultural and historical contributed to the revival of scientific work of academic scientists, the expansion of the issues and professionalism of publications. The academic anniversary of Shevchenko collections, although not devoid of ideological approach, were published in the 1960s, became interesting and unique documents of this period. Extensive problems of research by P. Popov, P. Volynsky, V. Borodin, Y. Ivakin, V. Ivanisenko, M. Kotsyubynska in these editions, their professionalism, abandonment of obsessive Soviet cliche, orientation mainly on aesthetic and cultural foundations in assessment, Shevchenko's heritage, testify to the weakening of party pressure in Shevchenko's studies of that time.Conclusions. The observations offered in the our article complement the history of academic Shevchenko studies, add additional touches to the understanding of the literary process of the specified period.Вступ. Актуальність роботи полягає у необхідності ревізійного вивчення та переосмислення радянської літературознавчої спадщини, коли при вивченні творчості Тараса Шевченка не завжди надавалася увага літературознавчим проблемам. Мета нашого дослідження ‒ об'єктивно розглянути академічну критику доробку Шевченка, вказавши на явну тенденційність, спірність тих чи інших літературознавчих суджень та виявити ті з робіт, які найбільш яскраво, продуктивно репрезентують рецепцію текстів митця. Дослідження 1960-х років в історії вивчення спадщини Шевченка потребують критичного переосмислення, однак оцінка положень окремих публікацій повинна базуватися на аргументованому аналізі джерел і не має призвести до їх вилучення з історичної та літературної пам'яті. Вважаємо, що деякі аспекти шевченкознавства радянської епохи мають бути переосмислені у сучасній науці за допомогою аналітичних досліджень.Метою нашого дослідження було об'єктивно розглянути та розкрити особливості інтерпретації творчого доробку та біографії Шевченка у 1960-х роках.Методи. Методологічною основою дослідження стали системно-аналітичний та типологічний підходи, метод теоретичного узагальнення.Результати. Аналіз ювілейних збірників 1960-х років дозволяє зробити висновок, що культурно-історична ситуація сприяла пожвавленню наукової роботи академічних науковців, розширенню проблематики та фаховості публікацій. Видані у 1960-х рр. академічні ювілейні шевченківські збірники, хоча й не позбавлені ідеологічного підходу, стали цікавими й унікальними документами цього періоду. Обшир проблематики досліджень П. Попова, П. Волинського, В. Бородіна, Ю. Івакіна, В. Іванисенка, М.
