Capuana’s novel of verism “The Marquis of Roccaverdine”. The main regularities of quantization information in the novel of verism have been established. Such regularities depend on factors that counteract the openness of information dissemination channels. Two factors have been identified that create the coherence of the sense field at the global semantic level: polarized evaluation and isotopy. It has been shown that the novel's sense field has a nucleus (dominant and background), a pre-nuclear zone, and a periphery. The nature of the nucleus (dominant or background) determines the evaluation (negative or positive), which is predominantly stable and extends to the pre-nuclear zone (dwelling, household items) and the peripheral zone (natural phenomena). The dominant nucleus is forming by referent-subjects (characters from the upper classes) and has a negative evaluation (as an expression of the author's idea of depicting the crisis of the nobility in Sicily in the post-unification period). The background nucleus is forming by referent-subjects (characters from the lower and lower-middle classes) and has a positive evaluation. The other factor that creates the coherence of the sense field at the global semantic level is isotopy. The semantic component of tropes (similes, personifications, gradations) and verbs of speech is characterized by regularity and recurrence, forming isotopies at the global semantic level. Within the novel, two sets of semantic components can be identified that are used in all elements of the novel's plot (exposition, rising action, climax, falling action, resolution): 1) semantic component of tropes expressing destruction and uncontrollability; 2) verbs of speech with an emotional component expressing anger, rage.У статті розглядаються основні закономірності дії смислового поля роману веризму «Маркіз Роккавердіна» на глобальному семантичному рівні. Встановлено основні закономірності квантування інформації в романі веризму з урахуванням чинників, що протидіють відкритості каналів інформаційного розгортання. Визначено два чинники, що забезпечують єдність смислового поля на глобальному семантичному рівні: поляризована оцінка та ізотопія. Показано, що смислове поле роману має ядро (домінантне та фонове), приядерну зону та периферію. Характер ядра (домінантне / фонове) визначає оцінку (негативну / позитивну), що здебільшого є стабільною і розповсюджується на приядерну зону та периферію. Домінантне ядро представлено референтами-суб’єктами (персонажами, що належать до вищих прошарків) і набувають негативної оцінки (як втілення авторських ідей зображення занепаду аристократії на Сицилії в пост-унітарний період). Фонове ядро представлено референтами-суб’єктами (персонажами, що належать до нижчих прошарків) і набувають позитивної оцінки. Іншим чинником, що забезпечує єдність смислового поля на глобальному семантичному рівні, є ізотопія. Семантичний компонент тропів (порівнянь, персоніфікацій, градацій) і дієслів говоріння характеризується тематичною ідентичністю та повторюваністю, утворюючи ізотопи на глобальному семантичному рівні. У тексті роману можна виділити два смислові ряди, що вживаються у всіх ключових елементах сюжету художнього твору (експозиція. зав’язка, розвиток подій, кульмінація, розв’язка): 1) семантичний компонент тропів, що позначає руйнування і неконтрольований характер; 2) дієслова говоріння з емотивним семантичним компонентом на позначення негативних емоцій (злість, гнів).L’articolo è dedicato all’investigazione di regolarità del campo di senso nel romanzo del Verismo di Luigi Capuana “Il Marchese di Roccaverdina” al livello semantico globale. Sono state stabilite le regolarità di quantizzazione delle informazioni che si oppongono al carattere aperto dei canali di svolgimento delle informazioni. Sono stati individuati due fattori che garantiscono la coerenza del campo di senso al livello semantico globale: la valutazione polarizzata e l’isotopia. È stato mostrato che il campo di senso del romanzo ha nucleo (dominante e da sfondo), zona prenucleare e periferia. Il carattere del nucleo (dominante o da sfondo) determina la valutazione (negativa o positiva) che è prevalentemente stabile e si espande sulla zona prenucleare (alloggio, oggetti d’uso) e quella periferica (fenomeni della natura). Il nucleo dominante è costituito da referenti-soggetti (personaggi delle classi alte) e ha valutazione negativa (come espressione delle idee dell’autore di mostrare la crisi della nobiltà in Sicilia nell’epoca post-unitaria). Il nucleo da sfondo è costituito da referentisoggetti (personaggi delle classi basse e mediobasse) e ha valutazione positiva. L’altro fattore che garantisce la coerenza del campo di senso al livello semantico globale è l’isotopia. Il componente semantico di tropi (similitudini, personificazioni, gradazioni) e di verbi di dire si caratterizza per regolarità e ricorrenza formando isotopie al livello semantico globale.
