Two periods of Ukrainian publishing activity were analyzed. The first stage covered 1920-1924, the so-called camp period - the existence of camps for interned Ukrainian soldiers of the UNR Army. The second stage, 1924-1939, was the period of civil emigration after the disbanding of the camps. The material, financial and socio-cultural conditions of the functioning of publishing houses, editorial offices, printing houses, societies and other Ukrainian institutions and organizations are considered. Attention is focused on the activities of the Ukrainian Scientific Institute in Warsaw, which in the 1930s carried out active research and publishing activities and became a leading center of Ukrainian studies in Poland. The research analyzed the most famous and influential magazines that were published in the camps and later after their closure in large Polish cities, and summarized their cultural and historical role. The author summarizes the main content, conditions, and cultural and historical significance of the Ukrainian press and book publishing for preserving the national identity of Ukrainians in emigration. The survey also notes the influence of the publishing activity of the Ukrainian emigration on the development of Polish-Ukrainian cultural relations.У статті висвітлено етапи розвитку преси та книговидання української еміграції у Польщі у міжвоєнний період. Проаналізовано два періоди видавничої діяльності українців. Перший етап охоплював 1920-1924 рр., так званий таборовий період – етап існування таборів інтернованих українських вояків Армії УНР. Другий етап 1924-1939 рр. – період діяльності цивільної еміграції після розформування таборів. Розглядаються матеріальні, фінансові  та суспільно-культурні умови функціонування видавництв, редакцій, друкарень, товариств та інших українських інституцій і організацій. Зосереджується увага на діяльності Українського наукового інституту у Варшаві, який у 1930-х роках проводив активну науково-дослідницьку та видавничу діяльність і став провідним центром українознавства у Польщі.
