Вісник кримінального судочинства(1), 54–58.https://ir.library.knu.ua/handle/15071834/24206The content and procedural order of interaction between investigative and operational units when declaring a suspect wanted are outlined. Contentious issues in the joint activities of these entities are identified. Proposals for improving the organizational aspects of this interaction are expressed. It is noted that the institute of confidential cooperation should be more widely utilized in efforts to locate a suspect. One of the objectives of using covert assistants is to establish the whereabouts of wanted criminals and missing persons. According to the author, law enforcement agencies have taken additional measures to ensure proper cooperation between investigators, operational-technical units, and operational services during the investigation of suspects who evade pre-trial investigation. In criminal proceedings where a suspect (accused) is declared wanted on the grounds specified in the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, the issuance of orders to conduct covert investigative (search) actions to locate the suspect (accused) must be ensured.
