This paper, in particular, is concerned with the Academy Awards speeches. Thus, 163 Academy Awards speeches have been analyzed. These speeches belong to five main categories in the Academy Awards ceremony – Best Leading Actor, Best Leading Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress and Best Director.
