The above determines the need for proper legal regulation and law enforcement in this area. The acquisition of scientists regarding the essence of the categories "career" and "legal regulation" was studied.The author's definition of the terms "legal regulation of career growth of employees of the Security Service of Ukraine" and "career growth of employees of the Security Service of Ukraine" is provided. Legal regulation of the career growth of employees of the Security Service of Ukraine is carried out with the help of legal means of regulating social relations regarding the transfer of employees of the Security Service of Ukraine to higher positions, improvement of their qualifications and salary levels, as well as their legal consolidation, protection and development. Career growth of the employees of the Security Service of Ukraine is the transfer of employees of the Security Service of Ukraine to higher positions, improvement of their qualifications and salary levels.The current state of national legislation regarding career regulation in the Security Service of Ukraine is considered. Proposals and recommendations for improving the national legislation on career regulation in the Security Service of Ukraine are substantiated. It is proposed to include in the Law of Ukraine "On the Security Service of Ukraine" a separate article entitled: "Career in the Security Service of Ukraine". The author's content of the specified article is outlined.Доведено, що можливість кар’єрного росту служить дієвим стимулом для одержання від працівників Служби безпеки України повної віддачі для забезпечення ефективної діяльності вказаного правоохоронного органу. Зазначене обумовлює необхідність належного правового регулювання та правозастосування у цій сфері. Вивчено надбання науковців щодо сутності категорій «кар’єра» та «правове регулювання». Надано авторське визначення термінам «правове регулювання кар'єрного росту працівників Служби безпеки України» та «кар’єрний рост працівників Служби безпеки України». Правове регулювання кар'єрного росту працівників Служби безпеки України – це здійснюване за допомогою юридичних засобів упорядкування суспільних відносин щодо переведення працівників Служби безпеки України на виші посади, підвищення їх кваліфікації та розмірів оплати праці, а також їх юридичне закріплення, охорона і розвиток. Кар’єрний рост працівників Служби безпеки України – це переведення працівників Служби безпеки України на вищі посади, підвищення їх кваліфікації та розмірів оплати праці.Розглянуто сучасний стан національного законодавства щодо регламентації кар’єри в Службі безпеки України. Обґрунтовано пропозиції та рекомендації з удосконалення національного законодавства щодо регламентації кар’єри в Службі безпеки України. Запропоновано передбачити у Законі України «Про Службу безпеки України»окрему статтю з назвою: «Кар’єра в Службі безпеки України».
