Security is considered as a complex and multidimensional category, which is related to the security of the economy, ecology, politics, national and international security, etc. The peculiarities of regulatory and legal acts in the field of social security are characterized. The content of each of them is outlined. It was determined that the concept of sustainable development, the social sphere and social security are interconnected concepts that interact with each other. Sustainable socio-economic growth and raising the standard of living of the population are possible only under the condition of ensuring social security, which includes the protection of human rights and freedoms, provision of material and social needs, and strengthening of social security. It is also highlighted that sustainable socio-economic growth and raising the standard of living of the population must be ensured taking into account the principles of sustainable development, which involves the preservation of natural resources and environmental sustainability, the effective use of resources and the improvement of energy efficiency, as well as the social responsibility of business and government.У статті проаналізовано взаємозв’язок концепції сталого розвиту із соціальною безпекою. Розглянуто безпеку як складну та багатовимірну категорію, яка пов'язана з безпекою економіки, екології, політики, національної та міжнародної безпеки та ін Охарактеризовано особливості нормативно-правових актів у сфері соціальної безпеки. Окреслено зміст кожного з них. Визначено, що концепція сталого розвитку, соціальна сфера та соціальна безпека є взаємопов'язаними поняттями, що взаємодіють між собою. Стале соціально-економічне зростання і підвищення рівня життя населення можливі лише за умови забезпечення соціальної безпеки, що включає у себе захист прав і свобод людини, забезпечення її матеріальних і соціальних потреб, зміцнення соціальної безпеки.
