Проаналізовано еволюцію євроскептичних настроїв у державах-членах ЄС від перших проявів критики інтеграційного проєкту до сучасних форм політичного та суспільного євроскептицизму, що посилилися під впливом економічних, міграційних та геополітичних криз. Окрему увагу приділено Brexit як ключовому прикладу «жорсткого» євроскептицизму, що засвідчив можливість виходу держави з ЄС та вплинув на подальші дискусії щодо майбутнього європейської інтеграції. У роботі систематизовано підходи до розуміння євроскептицизму, зокрема його поділ на «м’який» і «жорсткий», а також партійний і суспільний. Встановлено, що «м’який» євроскептицизм передбачає критику окремих політик ЄС без заперечення інтеграції, тоді як «жорсткий» орієнтований на вихід із ЄС. Показано, що партійний євроскептицизм формує політичні програми, а суспільний впливає на рівень довіри до європейських інституцій. Доведено, що євроскептицизм має багаторівневу природу та формується під впливом економічних криз, міграційних процесів, регіональних дисбалансів і проблем демократичної легітимності ЄС. Проаналізовано роль Франції та Німеччини, де євроскептичні партії («Les Patriotes», «Alternative für Deutschland», «Блок Сари Вагенкнехт») відіграють дедалі помітнішу роль у політичному процесі. Наукова новизна полягає в узагальненні сучасних підходів до класифікації євроскептицизму як багаторівневого політичного явища. Практичне значення роботи полягає у можливості використання результатів для аналізу політичних процесів у ЄС та прогнозування подальшого розвитку європейської інтеграції.The thesis provides a comprehensive study of the theoretical, methodological, and applied aspects of Euroscepticism in the contemporary European Union. It analyzes the evolution of Eurosceptic attitudes in EU member states, ranging from early criticism of the integration project to modern forms of political and societal Euroscepticism, which have intensified under the influence of economic, migration, and geopolitical crises. Particular attention is paid to Brexit as a key example of “hard” Euroscepticism, which demonstrated the possibility of a member state leaving the EU and significantly influenced ongoing debates about the future of European integration. The study systematizes approaches to understanding Euroscepticism, in particular its division into “soft” and “hard”, as well as party-based and societal forms. It is established that “soft” Euroscepticism involves criticism of specific EU policies without rejecting integration itself, whereas “hard” Euroscepticism is oriented toward withdrawal from the EU. It is shown that party-based Euroscepticism shapes political programmes, while societal Euroscepticism influences the level of public trust in European institutions. It is proven that Euroscepticism is a multi-level phenomenon shaped by economic crises, migration processes, regional disparities, and issues of democratic legitimacy within the EU. The role of France and Germany is analyzed, where Eurosceptic parties (“Les Patriotes”, “Alternative für Deutschland”, “The Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance”) play an increasingly significant role in the political process. The scientific novelty lies in the generalization of contemporary approaches to the classification of Euroscepticism as a multi-layered political phenomenon.
